Incubating Eggs
We have had duck eggs incubating in the library for the past 28 days. Children have been visiting the eggs and getting excited about them hatching.
Hatching Day- Day 1
Today, amidst much excitement our duckling hatched.
Day 2
The children have loved seeing the duckling and hearing its loud quack. They have been very kind and caring towards it.
Day 3
The duckling is getting bigger and fluffier.
Day 4
The duckling is moving around more. They are starting to get tail feathers.
Day 5
The duckling is gaining in strength and its chirps are getting louder.
Day 6
The duckling is taller, louder, and wings are getting bigger.
Day 7
Very active today and they are starting to use their wings.
