Rothesay Nursery School

We have a child-centred curriculum and learning takes place, both indoors and outdoors, throughout the year. 

Play is at the heart of our nursery curriculum. We have a balance between child-initiated activities and staff-directed activities. 

The Nursery Curriculum includes the 7 areas of learning. These are:

• Personal, social and emotional development
• Communication and language
• Physical development
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design.

We use Birth to 5 Matters to inform planning and also to assess children's learning and development.
